low carb diet birthday solutions, what sweets can you have?
Dad's trying to think of options to have. Are any puddings suitable to have? Cakes? Danish? Brownies?

- If your watching your weight, NONE! thats like asking which one is better a donut hole or a twinkie.
- Well, nothing. But low fat pudding is good. I once made an absolutely delicious cake that was wayyy low fat, and it was delicious. I also do this sometimes. It's DAMN good, and simple: Take white bread (I know you're saying low carb, but keep reading) 1 slice, it wont hurt you. Mash up some frozen strawberries, maybe get that syrup-y bag of strawberries, and spread it over the top. Maybe sprinkle some normal sugar over it. It's really delicious :)
- Sugar free cheesecake is the low carber's best friend & not even cheating. My fav recipe first link. Frozen strawberries, cream, artificial sweetener & a stick blender makes instant low carb ice cream. You can't buy commercial low carb puddings - they may be sugar free but are loaded with starch, but you can make egg custards or low carb puddings made with glucomannan or chia seeds. Chia seeds sound so expensive but 1# will make 10# food (when you can splurge some - Amazon.com has couple lbs. for $16 shipped to you. I buy mine in bulk - 24# for $5.83# with free shipping at getchia.com Faux tapioca - 2 cups of water, 5 scoops of low carb whey protein powder, stir together & add cup of chia seeds, after they have started to absorb the water, add in 2 cans of coconut milk (or cream and added water during induction) & artificial sweetener if you like and mix it all in. Can be eaten after an hour but will be better tomorrow. Cream a pkg. of cream cheese into a can of pumpkin & add to the faux tapioca for an even more nutritious pumpkin pie pudding.
- Sweets are not a good choice for a low carb diet. For example, there are approximately 37 carbs in 1 large baked sweet potato (with nothing added) and 24 carbs in one medium baked sweet potato (with nothing added).
